歐洲央行（ECB）總裁 Christine Lagarde 在一個荷蘭脫口秀節目中直指加密貨幣「一文不值」，結果引發加密社群反擊歐元。

由於目前整個加密貨幣都在停滯狀態，加上日前 Terra UST與 LUNA 的崩盤事件，Christine Lagarde 表示，加密貨幣根本不是貨幣，是投機性資產，穩定幣需要等值的貨幣支持，而其他沒有基礎資產的加密貨幣都應該接受監管。

Christine Lagarde 的批評引來加密社群的撻罰。Crypto Council for Innovation 的執行長 Sheila Warren 表示，她對 Christine Lagarde 評論雖感失望，但不驚訝，「新的數位經濟將運行在數位貨幣的組合上，包括加密貨幣、穩定幣和 CBDC。」

加密貨幣分析師 Lark Davis 則反諷，Christine Lagarde 認為基礎資產可以充當安全錨的不是加密貨幣，「我想她只是描述美元歐元，憑空打印。」

ESB President Christine LaGarde said “My very humble assessment is that [#crypto] is worth nothing, it is based on nothing—there is no underlying asset to act as an anchor of safety.”
